What is the Assistant Loco Pilot exam?
Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards in stages: CBT 1 covering Mathematics, Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness, followed by CBT 2 which adds trade-specific technical questions, then a computer-based aptitude test and document verification.
Check your Loco Pilot preparation level
After you submit, your report shows your score, attempted questions, correct and incorrect answers, accuracy, time taken, subject-wise performance and the topics where you lost the most marks. Use that report to decide what to revise next.
How Railway Trust Academy helps with ALP practice
We publish ALP technical mock tests alongside general CBT 1 practice sets, so you can work on both the common subjects and your trade paper from one platform.
Why practise these tests?
- Practise technical questions in a timed setting rather than only reading theory
- Separate your CBT 1 weaknesses from your trade paper weaknesses
- Get comfortable with the calculation load in the maths section
- Repeat tests to measure real improvement in speed and accuracy
How to attempt the mock test
